Back in 2020, like most people stuck at home during COVID, I was looking for a better way to train nmy cardiovascular endurance outside of weight training in my garage gym. That’s when I came across Crossrope, and what started as a simple cardio alternative quickly turned into one of my go-to tools for training.

I’ve been using Crossrope jump ropes for over five years now. Not just for my own workouts, but also with my clients and patients in the clinic.

What Is Crossrope?

The Ropeless Option: Surprisingly Useful

One of my favorite parts of the Crossrope system is their ropeless jump ropes — and yes, they’re exactly what they sound like.

Instead of swinging an actual rope under your feet, the ropeless handles have short weighted ends that mimic the feel and resistance of jumping rope without the rope. You still get the full upper body movement and rhythm, just without the need for space or the impact from jumping.

I use them:

  • On cold or rainy days when I don’t want to go outside

  • In spaces with low ceilings (especially in home gyms)

  • With patients who can’t jump due to knee or ankle injuries

Once you select your preferences, the app recommends workouts based on those filters so you can find the best jump rope workout for your setup and time available. It’s super convenient, and it really takes the guesswork out of your cardio session.

Whether I’m in my garage gym, a hotel room, or working with a patient in the clinic, Crossrope remains one of the most versatile training tools I use. It’s fun, scalable, easy to pack, and genuinely effective, and that’s why I still use it five years later.
